Tektite - A set of three tumbled tektite gemstones. Stones will vary in size and shape, but most are in the range of 3/4" to 1 1/4". ÊTektites are thought to form when large meteorites strike the earth, and the resulting impact throws material up several hundred kilometers into space. As the molten bits fall back to earth, they solidify into glass, often with a highly pocked surface, showing the battle scars of their birth. Tektites are said to facilitate communication, and to help one heal emotional scars from the past, drawing wisdom and strength from difficult times.
